The Tigers capped off the regular season with a 41-15 overall record and an 18-12 mark in ACC play. That strong finish pushed them up across the board in this week’s national polls. Clemson moved up to No. 14 in both the D1Baseball and Baseball America rankings and climbed all the way to No. 12 in Perfect Game’s latest release. It's a sign of respect for a team that seems to be hitting their stride again.

Baseball America’s Scouting Report of the Tigers

“Clemson hasn’t played a postseason game yet, but it already sits just three wins shy of matching its highest total under head coach Erik Bakich, who posted 44-win seasons in each of his first two years at the helm. The Tigers reached the 40-win mark with a road sweep of Pitt, a series that opened with a combined no-hitter sparked by ace Aidan Knaak, who tossed 7.1 innings and matched a career high with 12 strikeouts. Clemson appears built for another deep postseason push, boasting the kind of balance that plays in the summer. Jacob Jarrell, Collin Priest and Josh Paino each reached double-digit home runs, while Cam Cannarella hit .332 and played standout defense in center field. On the mound, Knaak, Drew Titsworth and a steady bullpen trio of Lucas Mahlstedt, Joe Allen and Reed Garris provided consistency from start to finish. The ACC Tournament is up next for Clemson and while it may not drastically affect the Tigers’ postseason positioning, a deep run could still nudge them upward.”

All Eyes on Durham: No. 5 Seed Clemson Baseball

Now the focus shifts to Durham, North Carolina, where the Tigers are set to compete in the ACC Baseball Tournament. As the No. 5 seed, Clemson will take the field on Wednesday at 1 p.m. to face the winner of Virginia Tech and Stanford in their first matchup at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. It’s a big stage and a prime opportunity for the Tigers to make a statement and pad their resume a little bit before the NCAA Tournament begins.

There’s a sense that this team is starting to click again. The pitching staff has tightened up, the offense is coming through in key moments, and the energy in the dugout seems to be alive again. Sweeping Pitt wasn’t just a solid way to end the regular season—it was a reminder of what this group is capable of when everything comes together.

With postseason play officially here, Clemson is trending up—and they’re not looking to slow down anytime soon.
