The Clemson Tigers gymnastics team is set for its final road competition of the 2025 regular season as they travel to Washington, D.C., to compete in another tri-meet against George Washington and Penn State inside of the Charles E. Smith Center. The meet is scheduled for Sunday, March 9, at 1:00 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Riding Momentum After Historic Home Meet

Coming off a historic weekend, Clemson is riding momentum after securing its first-ever home tri-meet victory. The Tigers posted a team score of 196.400, outpacing Texas Woman’s University (193.975) and the University of New Hampshire (192.325). A standout moment came from Brie Clark, who etched her name into collegiate gymnastics history by successfully completing the Biles I on floor exercise, becoming the first NCAA gymnast to do so.

George Washington Revolutionaries

This weekend, the Tigers will face tough competition in George Washington and Penn State. The host Revolutionaries enter the meet ranked No. 36 in the nation based on National Qualifying Score (NQS), with their highest team score of the season (196.55) achieved on February 16 in a quad meet featuring Cornell, UW-La Crosse, and Ursinus College. Their strongest event has been floor exercise, where they rank 30th nationally.

Penn State Nittany Lions

Penn State presents another formidable challenge, coming into the meet ranked No. 27 in NQS. The Nittany Lions posted a season-high score of 196.525, recorded on February 22 against Ohio State. They have particularly excelled on balance beam, where they are ranked No. 23 nationally.

Closing Out the Road Schedule Strong

As Clemson looks to close out its regular-season road schedule on a high note, the team will aim to build on last weekend’s success and fine-tune its routines ahead of the postseason. Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN+ at 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
