Program Record Eight Tigers Named to NFCA All-Region Mid-Atlantic Selections

CLEMSON, S.C. – A program-record eight Tigers were named National FastPitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region Mid-Atlantic selections, the organization announced on Thursday. The Tigers are led by 2024 Third Team All-American, Maddie Moore, who garnered her second career all-region honors after being named a first team selection. Joining her on the first team includes ACC Pitcher of the Year, Reese Basinger, ACC Freshman of the Year Macey Cintron and ACC All-Freshman team selection, Marian Collins. Sophomore Julia Knowler and senior Aby Vieira were named to the second team, while senior Alex Brown and junior Jamison Brockenbrough garnered third team nods.
Moore (second base) is coming off the ACC All-Tournament selection after she led the Tigers to their first ACC Championship. She leads Clemson with a .420 average off 71 hits – including 29 for extra bases. She holds a .799 slugging percentage with 16 home runs, the third-most in a single season by a Tiger. The senior holds the program record with 64 RBIs this season and has drawn 20 walks for a .484 on-base percentage while scoring 56 runs. The All-ACC First Team honoree holds Clemson’s career stolen base record with 49 after tallying nine during the regular season.
In the circle, Basinger maintains a 2.92 ERA with 16 wins and two saves on the season. She has made 38 appearances and has 10 complete games and three solo shutouts. Through 158 innings, the senior has struck out 114 batters and limited opponents to a .245 average.
Cintron (DP or Utlitity/Non-Pitcher) racked up the postseason conference honors. Not only is she the ACC Freshman of the Year, but she also garnered All-ACC First Team and ACC All-Freshman Team honors. A force at the plate, she holds the freshman record with 48 RBIs on the year after recording 48 hits. The freshman has drawn a program-record 37 walks this season and scored 33 runs to hold a .622 slugging percentage and .437 on-base.
Collins (shortstop) rounds out the first team honorees with a .338 average off 51 hits, including 12 doubles and 11 home runs. She recorded 41 RBIs through the ACC Championship and drew 22 walks while scoring 36 runs. The ACC All-Freshman Team selection takes a .649 slugging percentage and .430 on-base percentage into the Clemson Regional on Friday.
Knowler (first base) and Vieira (catcher) earned their first career NFCA selections after being named second team honorees. The duo has traded the single season doubles record between the two of them with Knowler currently holding the mark with 17, while Vieira has 16 this year. Knowler maintains a .313 average with 56 hits, including 14 home runs, and a .642 slugging percentage and .382 on-base percentage. Vieira is having a career year with a .344 average after recording 54 hits, 31 RBIs and scoring 30 runs. She leads the program with six sac hits and has stolen three bases this year.
Rounding out the Tigers’ All-Region selections including Brown (third base) and Brockenbrough (outfielder). Brown, an All-ACC First Team selection, averages .420 this season behind 74 hits and 35 RBIs. She has drawn 36 walks, one shy of the program record, and holds the program record with 63 runs scored during the 2025 campaign. On the bases, she leads Clemson in 2025 with 10 stolen bases. Brockenbrough maintains a .336 average with 45 hits and 24 walks. She’s third on the team for both runs scored (43) and stolen bases (eight).
