Coach Shawn Poppie and the Clemson Tigers women's basketball program continue to make waves in the transfer portal, landing their second portal addition of the day. Demeara Hinds, a standout forward from Wake Forest, has officially committed to join the Tigers for the upcoming season. The news was first reported by Talia Goodman of On3.

Hinds, a native of Douglasville, Georgia, brings valuable experience and production to the Clemson roster. She appeared in all 29 games for the Demon Deacons last season and was the only player on the team to start every game. The 6-foot forward posted career-high numbers across the board, averaging 9.3 points per game on an impressive 51.5% shooting from the field. She also shot a career-best 62.9% from the free throw line and led Wake Forest with 5.6 rebounds per game.

Her consistency and inside presence will be a major asset for the Tigers as they continue building toward a competitive ACC run under Coach Poppie. With Hinds’ experience and production, Clemson gains not only a reliable post presence but also a leader who’s proven she can contribute every night.

Coach Poppie and the Tigers' staff are aggressively attacking the portal to quickly bolster Clemson’s roster and add proven experience. Hinds’ consistency, physicality, and leadership make her a valuable addition as the Tigers aim to make a strong push in the ACC. With more moves likely on the horizon, Clemson is clearly focused on building a competitive and veteran-led team for the upcoming season.
